Anyone else receive a post-card looking thing in the mail saying “You’d look good at george washington!” yesterday? I am not staying at my mom’s currently (where i live most of the time and where college mail is sent) and she threw it away before mentioning it to me so I couldn’t ask for any more details…
Everyone who received the postcard thing, what school did you apply to like Elliot?Trying to see who they send postcards too. Feedback is very much appreciated!
someone please tell me they have the inside scoop on when decisions are coming out! not knowing is killing me!
Update: made my mom dig through the trash, the postcard was a likely letter :). I go to a public school in minnesota. 3.92 uw gpa and 34 act
I a likely letter today too omg so excited! (in illinois) 3.86 UW gpa 5.79 W, 32 ACT, all honors/APs (9) etc etc good luck to all of you! ^^ @couplemoreweeks I applied to Elliott!
Thank you! Have you guys demonstrated a lot of interest in the school through visits or interviews!
@couplemoreweeks ya I visited and did an interview and wrote about the visit in my supplemental
I visited the campus this fall! No interview, though. Applied to columbian college of arts and sciences although I’m seriously considering trying to switch into elliot later…wasn’t committed to an international affairs major when I applied but over the past few months I have been feeling way more set on it…any advice on who at/when I should contact the school to see if this is possible?

Has anyone found out whether they were admitted to Honors yet? And does anyone know how many they admit?
@sophiewophie not sure if they have a certain number they admit each year but the website they currently have total of 500 honors students in the university
Did you apply separately to the honors college or would you just be placed into it? @sophiewophie @eabs97
@cferrera13 you had to check it on your application and then write one or two supplemental essays, can’t remember exactly
ohhh okay. Thanks! @eabs97
I applied to Elliot and Honors, but I didn’t visit, I didn’t request an interview… It probably looked like I wasn’t interested. I had actually only heard of it a week before the deadline - my debate coach told me to look into it. So I highly doubt level of interest was a factor in these letters.
Likely letters are an attempt to get some of their applicants more interested in GW, so I agree that demonstrated interest doesn’t really help you get a likely letter (though it is always good for the actual decisions).
Any international students get the “likely letter” ?
Does anyone know how much FA students who get likely letters normally receive?
Anyone else checking their portal a million times a day to see if they’ve sent out official decisions? I literally can’t wait any longer, I’ll lose my mind
@eabs97 keep checking their twitter, it’s a lot less stressful
