@moorzy96 ahhhhh I don’t have Twitter! Worth it to get one? Do u need an account to see other people’s tweets?
Has anyone called to see when decisions will come out?
@marie8808 don’t think so, but feel free to do so, then report back to us
I called on tuesday and they said sometime before April 1st
The past few years they have notified on the last Friday in March in the late afternoon.
Do you think I have likeliness to get in?
I have a 3.51 UW GPA and 3.81 W
I have taken several AP’s and honor classes every year. I have an ACT of 30. I am an international student applying.
I went in to the Elliott School of International Affairs. I would like to sya that both my common app essay as well as the supplement were pretty good.
I’m also a Hispanic girl
What do you guys think of the likeliness that I get in?
@marina1797 I’d say your stats are a little below GW’s middle 50% but that doesn’t necessarily mean a rejection—you probably want to get an opinion from someone who went to the school or who knows someone who went there with similar stats
@marina1797 I got admitted to Elliot ED2 for the class of 2019 with very similar stats to you. I have a 3.6 UW and a 3.9 W. I have a 31 ACT and I am also Hispanic. It should be noted that the ED acceptance rate was around 70% and will undoubtedly be much higher than RD, but I hope this helps.
Marina’s stats are not below the middle 50. 2014’s ACT range was 28-32, so she’s near the top in that. GPA might be a little low, but I imagine Marina has a very good chance.
Has anyone heard anything new about when decisions will be released? I called yesterday and they were still saying before April 1st.
They’ve generally released decisions around the 28th
@marina1797 I only had a 3.6 and 1980 on my SAT’s but i took a rigorous course load, had good EC’s, great recommendations, and solid essays and got a likely letter a few weeks back so as long as you’re well rounded and do have good essays, I think you should be fine.
@polscimezzo Thanks.
How does the likely letter look like?
@happytails it looks like a post card
Son got GPA - 3.75(weighted), ACT - 32, decent ECs and service hours. No likely letter. Hopefully will get admitted into CCAS.
Aid will be released online the same day as admissions decisions in a separate email from financial aid office. Confirmed by the financial aid office. Hopefully this Friday!
Is there an online portal?
So everyone’s talking about getting an email, but my likely letter sad to look for a big blue envelope later this month? Anyone know about that?
do they notify online or through the mail
