GW Elliot School + Presidential Scholarship vs. Tufts

Hey everyone,

I got my admissions offer letter from GW this morning and with it a $15,000 Presidential Academic Scholarship. I'm seriously thinking twice now about my earlier commitment to Tufts. I am an international who has not applied for financial aid.

I have a couple questions now:

What are the international reputations of Tufts's IR program vs. a degree from the Elliot School?

How diverse is the GW student body? I haven't heard very good reviews and have two friends there who hate it mostly because the student body is apparently snobby and elitist.

Anyway, thanks for your help!

GW def… Plus you won’t be living in the presence of all Harvard and MIT rejects.

If Tufts are the rejects of Harvard and MIT students then what are GW rejects of? University of Maryland?

LOL, does UMD actually reject people?

For me, personally, it’s a no-brainer. GW has unbeatable career and internship opportunities in DC, it’s right in the city, it has a much better IR program, AND it gave you money.

Tufts sucks…Boston sucks. I guarantee you that you will find a lot more stuck up people at Tufts or any private school in Boston then you will at GW. GW gives the most FA out of any university in the US you know.
