admissions stats from this year

That's pretty good. It seems that GW had a decrease in applications, so they just accepted less people. 65% of the students are in the top 10% of their class and the average SAT is 1295. These stats are from students that will definitely attending, so not bad.

was anyone able to figure out the admit rate?

No, Hope331. For some reason, that is a hard stat to get until they have to report it. Not just for GW but for most schools and all prorgams. It's like pulling teeth, and the question is always answered with the number of kids coming vs apps. That tricky yield issue just does not want to be addressed. It will come to light though as the figures do get reported eventually.

Wonder if that record tuition increase has anything to do with the decrease in apps. Also wonder what the waitlist stats are.

Well, it's possible to roughly figure out the acceptance rate. If there was a 33% yield, and there will be a 2445 freshman class next year, then that means that GW roughly accepted 7335 students. Therefore, if there were 19500 applications, the acceptance rate would be 7335/19500=.376153. The acceptance rate will probably end up on paper in the 38-40% range as usual.

That sounds about right. Hey, did you see that W. Mark Felt, aka "Deep Throat," was a GW law school alumnus?

Yeah that's pretty cool. I can't wait until graduation on the ellipse, also.

Seriously. How aswome is that going to be...

why dont we get through orientation first lol...
