GW or BU (communications)... for transferring?

I was accepted into the School of Media & Public Affairs as a journalism/mass communications major and while it's a great program and GW's a very good school I don't think it's the kind of place I want to go to for four years.

I applied to a lot of schools, with most of the ones I really want to attend being smaller, more suburban, smaller than GW and with school spirit, which is really important to me. Unfortunately, I did not get into any of those schools, but I was accepted into GW and BU's College of Communications.

I'm not trying to complain or denigrate the schools that did accept me but I'm just not sure I'd be happy there from what I know about them and would like to keep my transfer options open as early as end of next year.

I'm not gonna go into a ton of specifics about where I want to go because obviously so much can change but like a Wake Forest, Boston College, Northwestern sort of place with a good communications program but where kids really love their school.

My high school grades weren't great, I have around a 3.4 and a 32 ACT score. My ECs and other test scores (SAT-IIs) are pretty good and writing is one of my main strengths.

I suppose what I'm asking is, which of those two should I go to where I have a shot at enjoying the school but also the best opportunity to transfer somewhere I think will be a better fit?

Thanks for the help.

if your intention is to transfer right away just save yourself the money and go to your local state school

You’re right, this wasn’t really a good question to ask.

Anyone who’s reading this just disregard it, sorry for wasting your time.
