I was accpeted into the Business School at GW as well as the Business School at Penn State (Smeal) and I plan on majoring in finance. I got a substantial amount of financial aid so both schools will cost about the same.

I don't know where to go!

Penn State's undergrad business school is better (ranked 22 in the nation), whereas GW's isn't in the top 50. Also Penn state is #1 for recruiting, and the alumni connections are crazy. However, I feel like GW is better overall and more prestegious.

What are your guys thoughts? Most importantly, to me, I want to know where I can get the best internship for a major financial firm.

THANKSSS

Well, I can only speak for PSU since my brother and his girlfriend both graduated from their, the girlfriend graduating from smeal. My brother landed a really good job as a Sales Associate at an Engineering firm right out of college and she also got some very good jobs. I think the biggest thing for Penn State is their alumni connections and that really helped both of them. I can’t talk about either of their programs, but both of them graduated with jobs.

Now on the other hand, as you probably know, Penn State is in Pennsyltucky while GWU is in the US Capitol. Completely different campuses! So keep that in mind too when you make your decision. I’m a PA-instater and everyone at my school goes to Penn State, so that kinda makes it not a big deal to my school, even though it may be well renowned throughout the country.

Cool sounds good…any other opinions pleaseee? :)
