I am currently a senior and plan on applying to GW this fall. I was curious as to how the scholarships at GW work, and what my chances are of getting a scholarship. I’m also curious about the different scholarship offered. I have pretty rigorous schedule, a 4.4 gap, im in the top 4% of my class, I have a decent essay, and a solid amount of extracurriculars. I’m interested in engineering and computer science. Any information or input would be very helpful, thank you!
What are your test scores?
GW gives pretty good merit scholarships. Last year D was offered $25k/year and their honors college is pretty strong. She had similar GPA / class rank but very high ACT
I only have a 1900 as of now, I’m hoping to get it up a lot higher though, so I’m not even sure if I should submit that. Do you think they will only give scholarships to those who submit test scores? I know it’s no longer required so I’m not sure what their views are on them.
Good to know! 25 grand would be terrific, thank you! Now I just have to get my sat scores up and decide if I should submit them
‘very high ACT’ would be more useful in numerical form. Don’t count on what someone else got.
Your SAT is at least around midrange so I don’t think it would be helpful not to submit. If you retake it perhaps you can bump up.
