I am looking to do Business, probably finance, with an economics minor.

Pros to GW:
slightly higher ranked and reputation slightly better
nicer dorms
smaller size
close to home (1.5hrs)

Pros to BU:
nicer campus
more options if i choose to change majors
less princess like people
mass decriminalized

You like BU’s campus better? I like GW’s much more. Please add DC’s nice climate to the GW Pro list.

lol thissiteisstupid, we meet again. i will be following this thread too.

I wouldn’t worry about reputation since the two schools are so close in ranking when looking at the big picture.

Live in Boston, D attended GW…find the two schools very similar…BU is larger…GW more compact. Educational reputation about the same. It was interesting to me to note while at CI and chatting with GW administration officials, many of them had come from BU…

Former president Joel Trachtenberg was a VP for academic services and academic dean College of Liberal Arts, before going to University of Hartford and then on to a long stint at GW.

Freshman Dean Fred Siegel was director of Admissions at BU, did an early stint at GW, went to UDel. as associate Provost before returning to GW as freshman dean. So in essence BU was a training ground for these and I believe others now at GW. And if you do choose GW, get to know Dean Siegel, he and family live on the Vern campus and he is accessible, has great advice and sponsors freshman dinners…take advantage!

And many of the students at both BU and GW come from the same geographic area. Both are great choices. Good luck!
