I recently got accepted to both UNC Chapel Hill (OOS) and George Washington University. I plan to major in global studies/international affairs. GW is known for their international affairs program at the Elliot School, but I feel like they are lacking a campus community. UNC has a great campus and social life, but is their global studies major not as good as Elliot School?
Are you in-state of NC? If so, Chapel Hill.
UNC has a large and well-funded global studies initiative but not with the international affairs focus that GW has. UNC has a great campus and community atmosphere and has a completely different feel than Washington DC.
If international affairs is your intended field of study then GW (established program in a city with a large diplomatic corp and international presence) makes the most sense.
