<p>I applied to GWU using the Common Application but I don't think I ever received a GWID. I am intersted in checking my application status online and probably applying to the Honors school. Does anyone know how you receive this ID? Was it in an e-mail via mail? I sent my application in well over two weeks ago so I'm a little confused as to get my GWID. Thanks!</p>
<p>I wouldn't swear to it... but I think my son got his GWID AFTER he was accepted and enrolled. It's the student ID number that you use for everything on campus. I don't remember him getting that during the application process.</p>
<p>My GWID to check my application status came about a month after I sent in my common application online. I think that it takes them awhile to review the application and give you an ID number. Also, they wait for their check for the application fee. Though, once you get the ID number and check your application status you realize that they hardly ever update the documents that you are missing.</p>
<p>That's interesting... I guess they changed something from last year... he was able to check his app status with some other password. Sorry for the misinformation.</p>

<p>Eeep - so what should I do if I want to apply Honors or to one of the special programs? I'm going to try and call but it kind of makes no sense if a lot of the deadlines for special programs is Jan. 15th it seems.</p>
