GWU are you really worth it?

<p>My D really wants to attend here. She was admitted to their Elliot School. I keep hearing that GW is a great school and to get into Elliot is such an honor, however when I search for info I come across many negative comments about the school in general. There are some good ones too, but too many negatives. My gut is telling me send her to her state school which is ranked just a few spots below GWU.</p>

<p>We are dependent on financial aid and while she received both merit and need based aid, I am uncomfortable with the amount of student loans she would accrue. Staying in state will cost her nothing.</p>

<p>nobody can answer this question for you besides your daughter…the one who will actually be going to the school. it’s up to her. </p>

<p>here are some student satisfaction surveys which she should look at. see if you can find something similar at the state school and compare them </p>

<p>(12% of graduating seniors would probably/definitely not choose gw again if given the chance. i don’t know how that compares but it seems fairly low)</p>
