Dear Alex,

Over the next few weeks, my colleagues and I will be making important decisions that will shape The George Washington University's Class of 2010. We are delighted that you have applied as an Early Decision I candidate. The binding nature of this option reflects a seriousness of purpose on your part, and we sincerely hope that we will be able to welcome you to GW and the nation's capital -- the place we call home.

You can help us by making sure that your high school transcript and other supporting credentials are received in our office as soon as possible. If you have not already done so, please make arrangements to have these materials sent to the Office of Admissions. If you need to complete the Early Decision Agreement Form, please click here. If you will be applying for need-based financial assistance, please follow this link to obtain the appropriate forms. Please note the deadline of November 15.

Next, we want to let you know that we plan to begin mailing our decisions on Friday, December 16. Given the fact that many secondary schools will be closed the last two weeks of December, we plan on sending you an email notification on that day as well. Please feel free to contact us should you have any questions or concerns regarding the Early Decision I process. Our contact information is below.

Finally, we want to thank you for your interest in The George Washington University. We hope to be able to serve you in pursuit of your educational goals.

Sincerely,
