did you jsut find out now? or on Friday? Some people are still waiting for the emails!

Yes i e-mailed my rep but i donot expect her to return my e-mail during the weekend. We have to assume that they got in as many e-mails as they could on friday and they will continue to send them on monday (tommorow.)

I understand both of your frustration, but with the holidays fast approaching I am sure this is just a minor oversight or you may have given them a wrong email address. Nonetheless, the university is closed for today, but you should recieve something monday. I am sorry for all the pain this is causing you for I know I would have jumped off my balcony by now if that happened to me. Good luck and I hope to see you both in the fall.

Thanks for the support. I agree that it may just be overwhelming for their system. I know they have his correct email address -- he got the emal saying it would be posted on Fri the 16th!

Dear Dan,

We are pleased to let you know that you have been admitted to The George Washington University as an Early Decision I candidate. As we indicated in our earlier email message, we wanted to let all early decision applicants know of our decision as soon as possible. Your official letter of admission should arrive in your mailbox within a few days.

In the meantime, my staff and I want to wish you a very happy new year.

Sincerely,

Dr. Kathryn Napper
Director of Admissions

YES!!

My son got a "yes" to the College of Arts & Sciences. His app for Poli Com is still pending SMPA faculty review.

But we had to make a call to find out. What about you?

It seems like everyone on here has gotten in (including me!)

I still know a few people who are still waiting to hear though. Does anyone know of anyone who has gotten rejected or deferred?

I know of three...

did they find out by email?

yes, all it said that they were unable to offer them spaces... i might add two of them were girls (heavy girl/boy ratio at GW, where they are trying to balance it out)

My son found out by making a call to admissions this morning. Then this afternoon, someone else called, apologized for the delay in SMPA review, and confirmed his admission to CCAS... and that he is one of 30 finalists for spots at Poli Com, which has yet to make decisions. But the CCAS admission is a good thing.... and he is just happy to be at GW. SMPA would make it perfect! I'm happy for everyone who got in, but I do believe this SMPA review process could have been handled a little more sensitively.

i got in tooooooo yay elliott school c/o 2010 i was literally in tears when i found out because i was so nervous

Well, he found out this week that he didn't get into Poli Com.... they only took a few students.... oh well. Still in CCAS! We've gotten emails from the Asst. Director of Admissions confirming his acceptance... now awaiting the acceptance package in the mail. Of course, it will come while we're on vacation!

so do i need to call to find out about poli comm? does it mean something that i got my email right away on that fri? does anybody else get the recorded message when they call admissions? does anybody know if admissions is closed? because i still havent gotten my packet and i thought maybe that had to do w/ SMPA review?

the admissions office was closed yesterday, but they should be open today. i still have not received my admissions packeet as well. :-/

i know i might be on the wrong thread buttt does neone know when they might be sending out interview notifications for the 7 yr b.a./m.d program?

interview notifications are end of january to early february

ED II applicants - post your results here when they come out!

When do decisions go out for EDII aplicants?

it should be friday at 5pm (but don't quote me on that)
