<p>Hey everybody! I couldn't seem to find a thread for GWU ED1 applicants for the class of 2018, so I thought I would create one. I would love to talk to my fellow applicants! Has anyone received any more information about when we would be notified?</p>
<p>About time we got a thread! I’m just counting down the days. Trying to find out more about the school. Not too stressed out lol</p>
<p>On another thread someone said they contacted the admissions office and they told them we would find out on December 15th</p>

<p>Yep! I was informed that decisions would be out on December 15, and that it would be available through the GW Application Portal. </p>

<p>Results will be out the week of the 16th according the the official GW admissions twitter account. What a drag.</p>

I feel you right now. All of my other ED and EA friends have already heard back and I still have no idea if I will get it today or if I will have to wait till Friday. This does not a pleasant exam week make.</p>
<p>do you think it will today? My kid is driving me nuts.</p>
<p>I have no idea. I contacted my admission representative and all she said was “you will hear back next week” and I contacted her last Friday.</p>
<p>odds are they will make us wait a few more days. Honestly its nbd, just relax, have some hot chocolate and wait it out.</p>
<p>Do you think that the pushed back notification date is due to an increase in applicants?</p>
<p>I am going crazy. I want to be calm and patient, but the anticipation is killing me. I heard from the Facebook group that someone called, and the advisor said the new date is the 20th, however I don’t know what is the truth anymore. I also heard a rumor that they will be sent out throughout next week.</p>
<p>That would be so shady if they pushed back the date to increase application numbers. However, due to all of the past scandals, I wouldn’t put it past them.</p>
<p>I don’t think that’s what hgrossman is saying, I think they mean do we think that there was an increase in applicants and the university ended up having to take more times to review all the applications, which is why the notification date is pushed back</p>
<p>Thanks for clarifying SamiLaine13, that is what I meant. It is impossible not to speculate on the reasons behind this delay.</p>
<p>I’m so nervous! I was so ready to hear back on the 15th. I guess it’s nice to know other people are going through this. We’re all in it together. Best of luck everyone!</p>

<p>AHHH! That’s weird…I haven’t even gotten the email saying when decisions are
supposed to go live ugh.</p>
