GWU ED2

Hey guys! I might apply ED2 to GWU and was wondering if anyone knew their ED2 acceptance rate? A general number is fine, I am just curious to see if I have a chance in the ED2 pool. Thanks!

Acceptance rates really don’t mean anything out of context. GW accepted roughly 60% of ED applicants last year. Keep in mind this was an anomaly. Usually, GW accepts right around 40% of ED applicants. What are you stats? I’d be happy to chance you.

I’m not the strongest but thank you! Please be honest! Here goes:

GPA: 3.68 Weighted (school doesn’t do unweighted)
SAT: 590 CR 630 M 550 W - 1770 Total (very low :frowning: I don’t know what to do I’ve taken it so many times
Senior Courseload: AP Gov, AP Lit, Pharmacy Tech (certification class; takes up four blocks/periods), Calculus, Astronomy, Econ
Total AP’s taken by the time I graduate: 5 (AP World, AP Psych, AP Lang, AP Gov, AP Lit)
Advanced Diploma candidate
Upward trend since freshman year - my most recent report card was all A’s and one B!
Hooks: Low income, First gen, Muslim religious scholar (the reason why my freshman and sophomore year grades aren’t the best - explained in common app!)
I’m going on a visit next week and I plan on having an online interview in january-ish. Hopefully before decisions so they can see I’m very interested!!

Thats about it. What are my chances? I doubt I’m going to get into my ED1 school, so this is also crushing my dreams :frowning: @heyhey2034‌

I think you sound like an excellent candidate for GW and an excellent all around student. You certainly have strong hooks, and I think GW will appreciate it. GW currently has the reputation of the affluent college, which they’ve been trying to shake. Your SAT scores are unfortunately well below average, and your GPA sounds moderately strong assuming you have a competitive class. My advice to you is apply ED to GW! I think it is a match school.

Thank you! @heyhey2034‌ is GW big on demonstrated interest?

anyone else want to chance me (please)? :frowning:

Yes. Demonstrated interest is huge.

Any other info?
