gwu email

after sending in my deposit, how can i create gwu email account?
Im not sure if the school got my mail yet, should i call them?

Just check your status on the web portal (where you checked your decision). When they receive the deposit it will say declaration of intent received. then you can go on [MyGW - The George Washington University Web Portal](http://www.my.gwu.edu) and set up an email account. It will probably take about a week.

it may take a week or so to get your email!
Be patient, and, Good Luck, Congratulations!

When I tried to set mine up, it said that it would be working in about 30 minutes but could take up to 24 hours to be fully functional, so I’m a little confused about what you’re talking about when saying that it will take a week. Mostly after reading that I’m just concerned that I might have done it wrong!

It doesn’t take a week. Once I set mine up I was able to check my inbox and it was fully functional the next day when I woke up.

what’s the different between xxx@gwu.edu and xxx@gwmail.gwu.edu?

All student accounts are now @gwmail.gwu.edu. They switched providers to Gmail last year so that students would have more storage spaces in their mailboxes. Staff and professors still use the @gwu.edu.
