<p>I am a junior in Slidell, LA (just north of the Big Easy)</p>
<p>I started looking at GW when i was in a Science Olympiad team that went to the national competition at GWU the summer before my freshman year.</p>
<p>I love DC (been there twice), and the school and they are currently atop my college list. My first question is how does GW engineering compare to other schools I'm looking at (Florida Tech, Vandy, La Tech, possibly a 3-2 somewhere)? Should I be looking at GW? What does GW offer that these schools don't (engineering wise)?</p>
<p>Also, I will be very reliant on financial aid. I've heard GW has excellent financial aid programs, especially for such a high tuition. I have a 3.7-3.8 GPA and I am taking a few AP classes. I'm taking the ACT twice before the school year is over. The last time I took it, I got a 22, but that was in 7th grade. How much aid do you think I would be looking at, with that little info?</p>
<p>Also, from doing the Science Olympiad thingy, I can get 5,000/year scholarship. That'll help:)</p>
