GWU misses top 50 in national rankings?

How come GW missed the top 50?

They have always missed the top 50 every year since 1998. In 1998 GW was ranked 46th and every year since then, for the last 8 years GW has missed the top 50. This year GW was ranked 52nd.

It has to do with their alumni giving rate which is very low and the fact that they have a low percentage of faculty that is full-time.

Pretty soon they are going to get passed by other schools if they fail to act upon improving their criteria which is used for U.S. News ranking.

AU has the same problem. I think USNEWS full time faculty rating is actually very retarded. An adjunct prof for a china-u.s relations course that works full time in Chinese studies at the World Bank is better than a mediocre full time prof with a specialty in conflict resolution. The endowment thing is definitely a concern though.
