GWU selectivity by school

Does anyone know if certain schools or majors at George Washington are harder to get into? I applied to SEAS and am assuming this school is more difficult to get into verses columbian college, however, there doesn’t seem to be any real stats on how admissions differ by major or school. Any information is appreciated. Thank you!

I was thinking this same thing, but then I found this: https://www.petersons.com/graduate-schools/the-george-washington-university-school-of-engineering-and-applied-science-000_10013760.aspx#/sweeps-modal
It says the seas school has a 66% acceptance rate and it makes sense because people apply to gwu mostly to go into some sort political/ international relations major and not especially for its engineering program. Lmk what you think

I was wondering the same question, but from what I know is that GW is very well known for it’s international affairs program and the Elliot School of international affairs is the hardest school to get intoout of all, but other majors such as political science (which is located in Columbian College of Arts and Sciences) is also very hard to get into.

very interesting, I just wonder where this petersons website is getting their data

That link to Peterson’s shows grad school acceptance. (Check the url: Graduate School Search | Grad School & Grad Program Finder)

I noticed this as well, but graduate acceptance rate can usually give you an idea of undergrad acceptance rate.

Ya that’s what I was thinking as well @iwant2die @mommymetal

@iwant2die @nsnick01 I wouldn’t assume that undergrad and grad acceptance rates are similar.

As far as the difficulty of certain schools, Elliot is by far the most difficult/selective. The School of Public Health won’t even accept freshmen students- you have to be an upcoming junior. The other schools seem like a toss-up to me, although others might disagree.
