Hello all!

I am proud to say that I was accepted as a transfer student into both Emory and GWU, however I need some help with the choice. For simplicities sake, Ill make a pros and cons list (modified):

Emory- was accepted into the school of arts and sciences, intending to double major in International Economics and Chinese. I have a solid background already in Chinese so please refrain from telling me how difficult it is. I have never been to Atlanta and won't be able to until after my decision must be made but i have heard the city is wonderful and the weather is great. I grew up in Texas and attended college for the first two years in South Carolina, so-although I now live in the North-I have a firm grasp of southern culture.

Cons for Emory: Nightlife, I hate greek life and dont plan on rushing. Does the greek scene dominate the nightlife there? Are the bars really that hard to get into? (I have a pretty decent fake ID) School spirit-is it really that poor? I couldn't imagine such a great school with a lack of school spirit regardless of their sports team...

GWU- was accepted into their Business School as an International Business major. If I went to GWU, double majoring in Chinese would be a little more difficult because it is in another school. I am not sure, but this brings about the possibility of having to fufill two schools worth of general ed requirements. That is the con, the pro is that GWU is in DC and DC is a great city and the capital. I also have a good friend that goes to American and another really good friend that goes to school in Philly (a short distance? away).

All in all i have yet to receive the packet with the list of accepted credits from Emory, but when i do i will post the comparison here. I really am looking for some educated opinions... is this even a question? One of my friends told me I would be ridiculous to not choose Emory as it is a prestigious university well-recognized. My parents however think that I would like GWU more because DC has so much to offer. MY plans for after graduating are unknown, but depending on initial job prospects, grad school is a strong possibility. please feel free to ask me questions and I will do my best to answer them asap, and thanks for any help !!!
