<p>GWU is the backup of choice for students who wish to study in DC. A friend who goes there told me the consensus among students was that GW students didn't get into Gtown, but didn't want to go to Catholic or American.</p>
<p>But GWU has a better basketball team... this year.</p>
<p>here's how I see it: I applied to Gtown EA, and planned to apply RD to GW. When I got in EA, I didn't bother w/ the app for GW. Simply put, Georgetown's much higher on the list, esp. for a government/polisci major like me.</p>
<p>On the flip side, my D applied to GU, GWU, and American. Although she was accepted EA to GU, she might end up at GWU because of the merit aid it offers. She prefers GU.</p>
<p>Georgetown is much better...campus, social scene, academics =D</p>
