GWU vs. TCNJ (Business)

Hey everyone! I have narrowed down my college choices to The George Washington University and The College of New Jersey. I have no idea which to choose though! I’m a prospective finance major (minoring in international/global business) and I know GWU has a fantastic international business program, but I would be nearly 100k in debt if I were to go to GW! Ridiculous…GWU was my number one for a long time, but given the amount of debt I would be in, I just don’t know what to do. I know it’d be happy at TCNJ as well and it is significantly cheaper, but is GW worth the debt? I really want to work in NYC in the future. Help!

Anyone?

TCNJ was just ranked as the #35 best Business program in the entire country by BusinessWeek/Bloomberg!
GW was ranked #54.

TCNJ. It’s actually simple : tcnj is one of the best colleges in NJ, its business school is excellent, you can spend your summers interning in NYC , and it’s affordable.
Gwu is in some ways a little better, but not that much, it’s mostly in a better location - but if you want to intern in DC, set 6k aside to live the life there each summer, you’ll still comenout ahead by more than 80k.
100k in debt is unsustainable. Keep in mind that the amount a college graduate can reasonably pay back in 10 years (IE., you’d be paying into your Thirties) is 27k. Can you imagine what it’s downtown you, and for how long, if you had 80k in debt?!??!!

In the Bloomberg survey, TCNJ ranked #20 in the employer survey section. That is the most impressive metric.

there is not question that TCNJ’s business school is better by quite a bit. Plus much more attractive tuition.
