Hello, I’ve been accepted to UC Davis, GWU, and UBC, and I want to do a double major in Biology and Environmental Science. Which school should I go to? I haven’t been able to visit any of them. I do like the warmer climate of Davis but I’ve also only lived in big cities so Idk if it would be hard to adjust to a small town like Davis. On the other hand, UBC and GWU have better dorms and are in big cities. I’m very confused about which school to choose, does anyone have any advice?
- post-college goals?
- amount of debt for each place?
It sounds like they’re all out of state. My answer is none of them. Seriously, this economy going to get much worse before it gets better, and a layoff from a parent will make these schools unaffordable VERY quick…assuming you can afford them in the first place. You’re better off going to a state school.
@coolguy40, it’s not cool to show up to every thread asking about specific colleges and say none of them. You don’t know anyone’s financial situation.
To the OP, my son is also considering GW with a Presidential Scholarship. We visited the campus and the buildings were nice and right in the heart of DC , with easy access to the metro, national mall and museums. My only concern is the lack of a dining hall. Your dining bucks would be spent on restaurants, food trucks or supermarkets. The tour did not include a dorm. Don’t know the other schools. Hope you are taking advantage of the school’s virtual resources. Maybe they can connect you with current students whose comments would be helpful.
hello, I am an international student so the regardless of the school I will be paying more or less the same. After undergrad, I would like to go for a Masters degree or maybe Med School.
The cost should be a factor. Purely “prestige”-wise, GWU is probably the best in my opinion
