What are some reasons why someone would choose GWU over UCLA?

Hey, I'm in the same situation as you--I have to choose between UCLA and GW. For me, its really an money issue (with GW being so expensive) and the fact that I really want to be in DC.

The location is why I chose GW. Being an International Affairs major, GW offers so many opportunities to get work experience to supplement what I learn in the classroom. Besides academics, you can have a lot of fun in DC. GW is 4 blocks away from the White House and 5 blocks away from the Lincoln memorial. The club and bar scene is really awesome. Most are 18 to enter, 21 to drink. The price is steep, but have you researced their new fixed-tuition plan? Tuition will be set for up to 10 semesters (so you can take a break if you want) and if you receive a guaranteed grant from financial aid, that will never decrease. There are ways around the high cost. Don't let finances stop you from researching GW.
