Here’s my stats: I got a 27 on my act but didn’t submit that, 4.674 gpa I have taken 9 APs, every class I’ve taken senior year is weighted, 4 year cheerleader and varsity captain 3 year gymnast with many sportsmanship and integrity awards, president of my class sophomore-senior year VP freshman year, president of Key Club(community service oriented) Memeber of SADD all 4 years and Renaissance club, I Interned for Ohio Senator Portman(one of my letters of Rec) and when I called them I talked to them about how current events are such an importance to me I started a CE segment at my school news and I designed my own website and clothing to sell and make profit for Syrian Refugees…I was on the waitlist for 5 schools so I’m so happy I got off one of them X_X
@GWdreamteam1998 my daughters stats are 31 ACT, 3.9 gpa, 4.7 weighted gpa. Top 7% of her class. 6 AP classes and most of other classes were Honors. She has volunteer experience and some extra curricular. She was waitlisted but found out yesterday she was accepted to the Elliott School of International Affairs. We live in Nevada so don’t know if this helped or hurt her. She visited the campus and called in on the waitlist call day. She also emailed after she found out she was waitlisted to express interest. Thank you for starting this group and I wish everyone the best of luck. I hope everyone in this group gets in off the waitlist. Everyone obviously is very invested in GWU and GWU would be lucky to have all of you!
I received admissions off of the waitlist on Friday. GWU was my number one choice. I received $53,000 in scholarships and I am waiting to hear about a memorial scholarship. I have already declared my intent and paid my deposit.

@20160052 or anyone else that just got in off the wait list, how did you find out your financial package? My daughters portal says she is accepted but doesn’t have any information for financial aid. She has been unable to reach anyone.
@Ivanne The financial aid information is not listed on the GW Activity Center. Use the link below to access that information. You will need your child’s GWID and DOB.
Thank you. That is where she is logging on but it says no financial aid Info avail at this time. They told her she needed to accept by may 2nd. We may have to pay a deposit at her alternate school tomorrow and risk losing it if we can’t get the GW info by tomorrow. American U admissions office is staying open all weekend which I think was a really good idea!
@Ivanne How on God’s green earth do they expect you to make an informed decision if they haven’t provide a full financial picture! When my daughter was accepted, her portal said that but we don’t qualify for aid That’s frustrating to me! And they should be open all weekend long.

@Hapoyface2018 I know! Didn’t you say your daughter got a GW scholarship? Does she qualify for the $5500 federal student loan? You would think even if we don’t qualify it would list out the tuition and fees and then show zeros for the aid etc.

@GWdreamteam1998 lol I went through the entire college process on my own so I have to handle that and if we make it in we HAVE to meet up and celebrate surviving this hell
just everyone go to a waitlist luncheon or something haha…
