Gym Class

Do your high schools require you guys to shower after gym class, ours does and it really sucks. I don't think it's fair since none of the other schools around us do.

When i was in high school our showers were used as storage so we didnt have the opportunity. if given the option i think i would have, i always hated having pe in the morning and having to sit through the entire day all nasty and sweaty.

I hate PE, but the only class I have afterwards is history, then I go home.

Today gym sucked. We were doing this thing where we have a partner and one person lays on the floor and the other person grabs their leg and pushes it towards their face and holds them down with their feet. My partner and I didn't do it unless the teacher was near and then he did it really weak like and the teacher yelled at him and showed him how to do it...he pushed my freaking leg to my ear......

no gym :)

2-season athletic requirement, though (3 seasons depending on the sport)

I get around it by doing 2 seasons of theatre.

I am so glad I only had PE for two years. I hate getting gritty and we didn't have access to showers.

I feel bad for anyone who had PE today at my school...and it might reach 80 tomorrow.

So most of you don't even have showers available. By me, I'd swear it was the seventies, it's one big room and the teacher makes sure everyone strips down and showers.

^^^ Does he do that whiplash thing with the towels too? :p

we have showers but whenever they get turned on it just stinks up the entire locker room. no one ever showers. i don't know anyone who actually breaks a sweat in gym. my teacher doesn't care if you participate; its like a social hour.

All the kids in my gym class to that whiplash towel thing to other people. It actually can hurt if done correctly (I got whipped in the eye...owch). I go to PE 4 days a week and we run two days and we weight lift the other two days so I only take a shower on the running days because I don't sweat when I weightlift.

Got whipped in your eye...eek!

It must be the heat where I live...it got to everyone. Fall is a bad time as is April-June.

No way. We only showered after swimming, and I guess you could get away with not showering either, it's not like they forced us into the showers. But anyway, I only had to take PE for 2 years, and I got out of half a year each of those years for marching band. :P

Ha, i'm exempt from PE. yay tennis!

Ugh, I wish we got exempt from gym for doing sports, I'd never have to take it. We have to take gym 2 days a week all 4 yrs.
We have showers but no one uses them ever, except if they have sports after school and have to go somewhere right after. There's no time to take a shower after gym, anyway.

I HATE the fat kids who HAPPEN to have an excuse for not participating in gym when gym is what they need most...like this one girl is exempt the ENTIRE year because she claims asthma, but she can still do some of the sports I'm sure..that ticks me

Haha. I only have half-semester of gym, and the teacher is super relaxed.

What's the big deal about showering after gym? I mean, what's the disadvantage? Our school didn't require it and I never did but then I don't sweat when playing sports so it's not necessary for me.

Embarassment, being in a room with a bunch of naked peers

Who cares? Nobody is going to comment on your package.

exactly... yall have all seen what youve got, who cares... if they do comment call them gay

it must be worse for girls then
