track... dont lie... u didnt

k, i admit i need to get a life seeing that i've actually read through the whole thread.
kindda freaky really for sexy lol
aside from that, one of the funniest threads yet.
i

... I hate Cornell, what the * are we doing accepting these ***ing retards

why the hell does cornell even accept all these 400 transfers?

a lot of "guaranteed transfers" I've met have some really high stats (much higher than mine) so GTs belong, but the normal transfers really REALLY need to get the hell out

assuming guaranteed transfers numbers are kept the same, for every 20 'regular' transfers that cornell restricts, cornell will go up by 1 in ranking per year.

you have to forget that cornell is a state land grand institution...there are many community colleges in NY that are only 2 year institutions that feed 4year universities...

that being said, not every undergraduate freshman is in the top of his class...or has a 2100< SAT

the vast majority were, though. of course not everyone is, but cornell is a top school because it has MAINLY people like that. with that said, im not saying to get rid of the transfer thing or anything, thats a different topic entirely. but i just felt like responding to your post, fd36.

meh...in some cases networking, not getting a 4.0 will get you a good job :<

i didnt say it wouldnt. graduating from cornell in general is impressive. but its important to understand that cornell prides itself on getting a large portion of "the best of the best" from high schools (and colleges, for transfers) all over.

Psh, we aren't the best of the best, stop fooling yourself. We're a step below the people who got into HYPSM. Just look at sexy123. Even asian people at Cornell aren't that smart, one dude on my hall is a dumbass engineer, hell, I hate engineers.

in the country we are. the real world isnt represented by the ivy league. when you go out to the real world, saying you went to cornell is impressive. jeez give yourself a little credit.

Well, not everyone at cornell is a step below, at the very least. However, on average, I don't even think Cornellians are much less intelligent than students at those schools. But I'm sorry to hear that if you feel that way. Well, maybe you can go somewhere with more *intelligent *people for grad school if you keep working hard.

I know plenty of underachievers at Cornel who felt like having fun in high school instead of killing themselves for a minute chance to go to Hahvahd with a bunch of socially awkward tools. I wouldn't really say that they're a step below, though.

This has turned into a ridiculous thread. It's not easy to get into Cornell. People here are smart. The schools that you are comparing it to number, what, like 4? Ohhh so we're the 5th best school in the country....OUCH how pathetic. Plenty of people reject going to those other four to come here too. Get real...at this level, the schools are not that far apart anyway.

yeah, we should like, all kill ourselves.

jrcho is just being stupid...i just saw another comment in another thread that was ridiculous so i guess he was in a weird mood.

Noone (except sexy) would get into this school if they weren't qualified.

jrcho88: You are the most uninformed person I have ever met. Both you and sexy need to transfer the hell out of cornell. what are you, a French major? don't be jealous that engineers make 5 times more than you straight out of college.

and you're an idiot if you think the ppl at cornell aren't as good as someone at HYP. Those schools reject over 20,000 applicants, who all have similiar stats, and so its pretty much random.

although I do agree with you that sexy123 is an outlier at cornell.

French major? Hardly.
I'm a bio major with a 3.8 GPA, thank you very much, though you're somewhat correct in that I put in about as much work as a French major would, or maybe my GPA will be up past 4.0, but that's beside the point.

I meant "we" as the overall undergraduate body.

I completely agree that perhaps the top 3/4 of our students are completely comparable to HYPSM. It is the latter quarter or so which includes *tards like sexy123, that brings us down. I put my opinion a little harshly the first time, but I don't think anybody can reasonably disagree that we have some pretty *ing stupid people at Cornell; the said idiots are at every college, though they seem to be way more numerous than I expected.

And no, I dont want to transfer out. I like this school and proud to be a student here. It is the same pride that makes me want to puke when dimwits like sexy123 get accepted to this school. That is all.

there are dense/stupid ppl at every school. Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT, wherever. And jrcho88, u seem to be one of them if you take sexy123 internet personality seriously when it is obvious that he/she/shim is playing in the Cornell forum. sexy is just a joke.

Come on our president went to Yale, and he is not really a genius.

I don't take "sexy123's internet personality" seriously, but is nonetheless annoyed by it, and believe it's ****ing retarded. Haha, I'm dense, coming from you TrackBabi, it's an honor.

wow you need to calm down and realize this is just an internet forum and getting all worked up is not gonna change anything. dont worry we only have 4 weeks until classes start and then you can go back to being pretentious.

p.s. you are kind of dense though
