It isn't like I'm giving up on a dream. I just don't want to spend money for schools that I know I'm not gonna get into. Thanks though! I think Rice is great also! What is the atmosphere like (competitive?)

well u nd SAT 2's for almost any school anyway so what do you mean?

I think you should apply, if it is your dream school. I mean, what could happen?

"Dear Applicant,

We committee members LOVED your application! Oh my word, you are such a loser! What a stinkin' rank! Your essays cracked us up. Man, you are doomed to wander the earth, homeless and indigent. Ha ha ha!

Sincerly,
Harvard Admissions Committee"

No. Such would not happen. Worst case scenario is some form-letter rejection letter. The best case? You get in. Either way, you're only out ~$50 and a couple hours.

yeah and you spend plenty of time doing worthless hw assignments so wats a few more?

Rice is competitive for applicants, but not so much when your a student. Visit the Rice board.

u could prolly get into the UCs since rank matters very little to the UCs

I was told I can't get in because of me being out-of-state.

I think you will get into Rice and have more than a strong shot at Cornell, Northwestern, etc.

Second that.
