Interesting article today in The Harvard Crimson:
http://www.thecrimson.com/article/2016/3/2/final-club-yale-model/
quote: "“Freshmen guys are resigned to ‘stay in their rooms playing video games and pining of the day they’ll be in the Clubs,’” Schachar wrote in the email, quoting leaders of undergraduate clubs he spoke with, adding that Yale is perceived as “a more fun and socially inclusive college experience.”
The first signs of capitulation?
Boom!!! Drops mic and walks away!! Boola Boola!!
@Tperry1982, I couldn’t come up with the right response. You nailed it :))
Interesting, and consistent with what my daughter said about her conversations with Harvard freshman guys during the football game weekend in the fall . . . they all seemed to be waiting for next year for their college social life.
Obviously there are a lot of great things about Harvard but this particular dimension sounds like it could use some work.
@IxnayBob - you’re hilarious. I have a kid that may be coming up that way after our kids spring break for a visit. He is interested in Computer Science. I’ll message you to see if your S would be willing to give him the skinny on the program.
