Okay I'm going to either St.Johns or Suny Albany but I really want to go to Maryland or Penn state what will I need to do to transfer to one of these schools will I have to go to my school for a year or two then transfer. What are the types of grades needed to transfer into those schools cause my grades in h.s were not good enough to get in

Just get over a 3.5 first semester to have a good shot, a 3.2 or higher should work.

When do you start applying to transfer. Should I just remain undecided or should I just go to a Community College. Like does it look better to transfer from a regular college or from a community college

From a regular college.

If you look at the Penn State prospective students website, it appears that you have to have 60 units in order to transfer to their main campus University Park, i.e. Happy Valley. Its less at their other campuses.

So I wouldn't be able to transfer as my sophomore year only my junior year. In more in favor of maryland anyway

that's incorrect.

From Penn State Website
Transfer applicants are those who have earned high school diplomas or the equivalent and who have attempted at least 18 semester credits at other regionally accredited colleges or universities before enrolling at Penn State.

Apply in March first year, get in by May, Start in the fall.

Thanks also is it common to transfer in sophomore year or junior year. Also is it kind of weird to transfer in after like the freshmen year experience and everyone already has the set friends or is it the same as comin in freshman year

It depends where you transfer into. You are looking at big state schools so you are likely to make friends with mostly first years, transfers, and some kids your year.

Thanks hopefulyl everything goes well
