Haas 2012

I’m still a freshman and I’m not applying to Haas

looks like all these rejects are too scared to apply

How can we be a reject if we didn’t apply

[Urban Dictionary: reject](<a href=“Urban Dictionary: reject]Urban”>Urban Dictionary: reject)

You can get pretty much the same jobs with Econ compared to Haas, but Haas has the added advantage of better connections.

I think Haas has “first dibs” on those jobs because of their network. Econ majors might have to network a bit harder and work a bit harder to get the same jobs.

econ is only legit if you went into math or stats. Pure econ majors (i.e. writing essays) are just haas hand me downs.

I agree. Usually econ majors take more math

I’m an EECS major, Skittled. Would love to see you take a shot at any EECS class.

Well, the proposed Haas curve is harder than the alleged EECS curve. But it’s ok because in both cases, professors grade much nicer! Check out something like courserank and you’ll see that it’s not really as brutal as people make it out to be.

BS post.
Comparing something that isn’t even in effect yet to something that isn’t “alleged” - it’s true.

20legend. Why are you arguing for “Haas=Phonies”? Does that make you feel like a better person?

Pretty much.

Just flaimbaiting. ; )

^boom.

Just had a flashback to sixth grade, when that kind of remark was really cool.

To be fair, asking “Does X make you feel good about yourself?” isn’t all that much better.

I thought the right term was HaasHoles … apparently that’s what everybody else at Cal call those in Haas. I didn’t make it up, it’s probably legit, someone heard it from a Haas prof.

Hm, I’m glad you feel better about yourself 20legend, being such an EECS nerd with no life or friends (not to mention girlfriends…) and all.

(No offense to other EECS majors lol)

Overgeneralize much? That’s like saying, “Better than being a monkey in a suit thinking they’ll end up at Goldman Sachs and Pricewaterhouse Coopers just because they have an undergrad degree…No offense to HaasHoles.” ;)

In all seriousness, congratulations to all the Haas admits from this year though. I’m sure it’s a weight off your shoulders, haha.

@secretaznmanxz - Great post, internet wilt chamberlain.
Except that you are forgetting the EECS department’s contribution in making this school what it is today. When was the last time a Haas major went on to do anything of note? Something as important as what our EECS students and professors regularly accomplish? That’s right, never. All you guys do is play second fiddle to better business schools - we on the other hand are at the very top of our league. :)

somebody should just change the title of this thread into:

Haas 2012 vs EECS 2012:
Epic battle of the nerdy people with no life who have to go onto CC and channel the pointlessness of their existence into pride for their major through bashing of all other majors. =___=

Congrats to all those who did get into haas and EECS :)
