Do any of you guys know how well Haas undergrads place in consulting (e.g. Boston, McKinsey, Bain, and lesser known firms)?
How does this compare to Ivies like Brown (a school I'm considering)?

Yes, I’ve already seen that. Unfortunately, I only see a few people at Bain/McKinsey, though there are more people at other consulting firms; this doesn’t tell me much about how well regarded Haas is in consulting. Anyone know how easy/hard it is to get an interview in the first place, as compared to a school like Brown?

I can only speak for Berkeley, but if you can get into Haas and are reasonably adept socially you shouldn’t have problems getting internships/offers from the top consulting firms.

Berkeley is a huge target for Bain. The CEO of Bain is actually a Berkeley alumnus. This year they gave out about 80 interview slots for Berkeley students. Almost every “lesser” consulting firm recruits on-campus here as well: LEK, Monitor Group, etc. McKinsey and BCG don’t recruit on campus here though, but I’ve still seen people get recruited.

Top ivies probably have better recruiting than Berkeley, but I don’t know about Brown. Not that Brown isn’t a good school, it’s great, but Brown isn’t particularly known for being a wall-street oriented school so I’m not sure how the recruiting is there compared to the rest of the ivies.
