i will be applying to haas next year. i was wondering what is the application like? how many essays? how many letters of rec? is it similar to the uc application?

I looked at it last sem…I believe there were 2 essays (maybe 3?) and one was how you related to one of the Haas goals, and a basic app kinda like the UC app. Should have copied and pasted it =___=

are letters of rec required? i looked at the haas website and it says that admission is based on grades and coursework, essays, and resume. i want to start thinking of who and how many professors to ask for a letter of rec.

I don’t recall there being space for a letter or rec…

*sniffles
so proud of you

Now why would you spend time on letter of recs when Letters of recs aren’t even considered in the admission process?

I’m pretty sure the Haas admissions committee will not accept letters of recommendation. As has already been mentioned, the application is weighted in the following way: 50% grades and coursework, 35% essays, and 15% resume. Regarding the application itself, there are 2 essays and are described accurately by meep1234. As far as what you can do know, I’d just focus on doing well grade-wise and try to be a leader in whatever you are interested in (either related or unrelated to business) both on- and off-campus.
