Haas chances?

So I just experienced a 3 hour rape in my intro to comp sci class. I walked into the final with a solid A and I think I came out with my grade dropping many folds. I needed at least a C- in the final to salvage an A- in the course, but I don't think I even have that.

Anyways, I was pretty much getting all As in my classes, including UGBA 10, until this class. My question is: how badly are my chances hurt for Haas now if I have As for the core pre-reqs but a below average gpa? (below 3.7).

I seriously felt like dropping out of school after taking that comp sci final.

how does one single class drop you from a 4.0 to below 3.7?

CS3 is known for giving out easy As… you should be fine :S

@ HelloAll: I mean my overall GPA. My GPA wasn’t that great my first semester and I was hoping this semester’s projected 4.0 was gonna bring it up.

@ StarryNight: Will Harvey curve the class if it turns out a lot of people did horrible on the final? From what I heard, almost everyone did bad on the final.

Maybe you’re overreacting? If you did A-work throughout the semester, I don’t think you did as bad as you think you did.

I hear plenty people get in with 3.4-3.6

and some people get in below that.

I even heard someone got in with a 3.2

^ Then again, those people usually had a combination of good essays and amazing resumes :(

I heard the person with the 3.2, had no extra curriculars, and was planning to do economics, but applied to Haas for the hell of it, and got in.

yes, the process of applying to Haas for the hell of it without even caring if you get in because economics is your primary interest anyways does seem to have a great track record for producing acceptances :]

why do u wanna kill this guy’s hopes and dreams? You want less people to apply? You angry you didn’t get in?

And there’s still a chance he could get in.

?? i did get in…and econ’s my primary interest, i just applied to haas for the hell of it…i was talking about myself…
