Will they still have to go back and take Econ 1 & 2 later on? It seems strange that, after having taken a higher level Econs course Haas would make a student go back and take Econ 1/2 just to fulfill the prerequisites. Does anyone know what's the deal with this?

Thanks :)

You must take Econ 1/2 in order to be eligible for Haas. If you take 100A/B without 1/2 your application will be thrown out unless you have AP'd out of Economics via double 5s on AP Micro and AP Macro. My friend ended up taking Econ 2 and Econ 100B at the same time in order to satisfy his application to Haas and to the Economics Major since Econ will accept a 4/5 on the Economics AP exams.

Econ 100 A and B can be used in the place of UGBA 101 A and B in the core sequence however.
