Chance me!

Looks pretty good. GL!

Thanks ^.

Bump for more haas applicants to post. Seriously only saw like 2-3 others on College Confidential for this year’s applicant pool. Where is everyone else?

Lol maybe you’re all of them
Wouldn’t that be awesome? And dude, Investment, I was out on club day in the main quad at around 11:20 right when my class got out looking for the club’s table and couldn’t find anything that looked like it. Did I miss it?

Or maybe they’re off getting 4.0s, helping needy kids in Africa, doing their internship one of the Big 4, curing cancer and in their off time they like to model economic trends for the future.

… but seriously, Investment, you got a solid looking app there. Nobody’s a shoo-in for Haas, but I would say you have a good shot.

Thanks Doc.

Bump.

I’m also shooting for Haas, but this is only my second quarter lol. I’ll be applying for fall 2012. Looks like you have a pretty solid chance just hope for the best man. I think you’ll get in =)

Im applying
3.8
ec’s and essays and grade trends are hopefully going to save the day for me

3.9

banking on my resume

Can the two of you be more specific? ^ What kind of banking? What other ECs? How many prereqs completed? Just want to get a feel for the competition. ;)

oh sure sorry for being so vague

GPA:3.9
Pre-Reqs: Calculus 1 and English 102 (Tried to get Cal this semester but was denied by 3 professors!!!) Hoping it wont hurt me that bad
Breadth: Completed except a science
ECs: Trying to start a Biz-Econ club, PTK, AGS (thats pretty much it, been taking too many classes i dont have time to join Student body, kind of think its irrelevant for a Biz major)
Resume: Trade Index and Commodities futures. Trade Binary Options and regular Options (bulk of my time spent on that rather than clubs) Intern at financial planning firm
Essays:every says theirs is going to be good so ill say mine will be good as well.

Also im a Sophmore so iv only been going to a CC for one year.

haha, when i mean “banking” i dont literally mean working at J.P.Morgan or anything like that. I mean im relying on my resume.

Oh haha my bad. Well, your stats look pretty solid as well. Interesting how you are involved with stocks. That is something I know nothing about. As for the business-econ club, it will show leadership qualities if you start it although it is a bit late for that since they will know you were only involved with it for one month at the time of writing the application lol.

lol i know kinda stressing out about that but 1 month is better than no months.

Kinda stressing about not getting in.

What if I dont get in this year? Does that mean i have to apply again next year when they take out almost all the requirements and add Calculus 2?

Yeah you can apply again next year. They drop english lit requirement and breadth requirements. You will have to take an additional calculus class however.

Bump. I am seriously surprised. Looks like no Haas applicants this year. Competition gets easier and easier every year (except for next year when they change requirements). xD

@Investment

I would think eliminating breadth and the Literature/Writing requirement would make it easier no?

oh hell yes

the people that normally do the BS applications are gonna start getting considered for acceptance

lowering the standards

no it will raise the standards.

Yeah. @knightofwolf and @Investment are correct. As @Investment mentioned to me numerous applicants do not meet the eligibility because of the breath or Lit/Writing requirement. By eliminating those restriction you now have applicants who would of been disqualified now competing for admission.

Lol, I dont think less people apply to Haas this year. In my college, I know at least 4 or 5 other strong Haas applicants. They just dont go on CC.

But your stats posted here also look very good :D. So it means maybe more competitive
