Haas School of Business

I just went to the Haas site, and is it just me, or is ther an insane amount of pre-reqs to get in? How is it possible in 1 year to take all those courses?

Here is the link: http://www.haas.berkeley.edu/Undergrad/ucbtransfer_eligibility.html

I think it's two years, not one.

Does anyone else know if it is 2 years, and not 1?

lol yes, it is 2 years. u cant possibly finish 60 units with a 4.0 average with good ec in 1 year... unless ur god of course

its possible. take 12 hours in the summer, 18 in the fall, 18 spring, 12 summer, two years in one year.

Since when has there been two summers in one year?

You can take classes the summer before your freshman year too, my roommate did.

You can also have AP credits for math, english, computer science, and econ.

It would likely take 2 years...what I wonder though is if Haas accepts students with prerequisite courses they are currently taking? You're supposed to apply in November your sophomore year...I wonder if they accept you contingent on grades for your fall and spring semesters?

I guess you could call 'em and ask.

what are the estimated chances of getting in Haas? I know it's probably impossible to put a number to it, but any one knows if the majority of interested students are accepted?

^ PennHopeful, check out the admissions stats on the Haas site:

http://www.haas.berkeley.edu/Undergrad/applying.html

There are links on the page to "admission stats" for continuing Berkeley students and transfers.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, you attend Berkeley for two years undergrad with an "undeclared" major, and then apply for Haas for your junior year? What happens if you don't get accepted to Haas?

^ Yes. Students that aren't accepted into Haas likely continue with a major in economics.

is it the same with Uni of Michigan- ann arbor?
