Haas transfer summer class

How is this?

1st Session: Philosophy 101

2nd Session: Sociology 101 and Econ 102

This is my first summer at my ccc and I've only taken one class before

I registered for 9 units because I want 12 units before Fall, I just feel that it's normal so how is it going to be?

I paid for them but If Haas would look down on Econ during summer then I'll drop it.

I heard both teachers 2nd Session are fairly easy so the only problem I have is if Haas wouldn't like me taking Econ so early and during summer, and that I wouldn't register as much information for Haas (Would I need the info because they'd teach me everything at Haas)

Another problem would be is Basic sociology and Philosophy weren't required

It looks fine. You could probably take one more if you want to.

Hass doesn't look down for taking class during summer. In fact, they don't care when you take it as long as you get a good grade. (Summer class counts exactly same as spring or fall semester)

You need some GE classes, so taking sociology and philosophy is fine. Also, you should think about back-up major in case you don't get in to Hass.

well im actually going to have usc as a back up and i'll find some other school too...but I doubt i'll go through the trouble of another major, what can i have as one?

the only reason i said that is if Haas was to think "oh this student took it during summer way back so he doesnt have much knowledge on Econ"

No, it doesn't matter. The only way they are going to determine your knowledge of the subject is looking at your grade! You would (and should) retain most of materials you learned after getting a good grade.

You don't have to choose backup major if you don't want to. But, remember that you need 4.0 GPA, lots of and extraordinary ECs and work experience, and an excellent essay just to compete. And it still doesn't guarantee you the admission.

yeah i know the only thing that worries me is, the grade its there for me i can do it, but the job i feel is all about luck, and i worry about looking for a good business job and never getting hired, but i might go for a bank...clubs i guess its there for me but some of them are by election...i dont know i think im just looking for reasons to worry but i havent started school yet so im assuming all will fall into place. thanks bro

Wrong.

You don't need a 4.0, but it helps. You don't need EXTRAORDINARY EC's and work experience. These may help, but are not required.

I know people who have transferred with low 3.8 GPA's and had weak EC's and work experience.

Well.. you're wrong.

I didn't say it's required. I said he needs those to be competitive.

Completing-

I am not on the board to argue, but you did state that he "Needed" a 4.0, great EC's and a good essay, implementing this criteria is required.

I tried to emphasize on toughness of getting into Hass and need of preparedness "to compete" with other applicants. I'm sorry if I may have overemphasized and gave you the wrong idea. Because this is pointless, and my intended audience seems to get what I'm trying to say, I'll just let it go. :)
