Ok...so for the Stanford question that says "tell us about an experience or an idea you have had that you find itellectually engaging" - would it wave a red flag if I talked about how the math behind hacking master locks intrigues me?? ahaha - I have never used the knowledge for bad... but just curious.

If your essay addresses the ethics of how you use your ability, I don’t think it would be bad.

I get reminded of the whole “whitehat/blackhat” distinction as well, although from my personal POV, hacking is less exciting when it comes to locks. :p

I think that would be a really cool essay, so long as you mention you only every did it to hide balloons in a friend’s locker for her birthday.

haha alright..thanks =)

and does anyone have any ideas about how to make a “note to your future roommate” really stand out? Like creative, unusual ways I could write it or something??
