Hackneyed question - rejected from Ross but into LSA?

I know this is a really common question, but I couldn't find answers elsewhere.

If I apply preferred admission to Ross, can I be rejected from Ross but still get into LSA? Will applying for Ross hurt my chances in anyway to LSA? Ross or not, I think I'd still enjoy UMich LSA as an econ major (considering a career in business or in academia for economics).

For context, I have a 2270 superscore SAT, 3.84 GPA, decent/good ECs, 800/800/760 SAT IIs, and all of that goodness...

Yes, you can get rejected from Ross pre-admit and still get into LSA. No, applying to Ross pre-admit does not affect your chances of getting into LSA.

^

Pre-admit admission is only evaluated after you get into LS&A first so it has no effect
