I was accepted to U Mich already if that helps.

UVa (with Father legacy, Uncle/Aunt are also alums-wrote letters, so I'm considered in-state, yes I've checked) and I went drove to UVa to go to the Legacy meeting thing.... hoping that 12 hour round trip helps

Thanks!

Legacy+ in state would help you a lot.
I would say low match
but you look kinda like a serial joiner (i just quickly glance over ur ECs)

uhhh… yeah I guess some of my stuff is. But some of it I have been in for a long time. I’m “well-rounded” I guess, but sometimes that doesn’t always work out for admissions.

I know!! I hate sitting around waiting to know if we got in or not…but, you seem pretty qualified. Well good luck!! And if you dont get in, i’m sure your second and third choices are equally sweet!

Please send food, water, and chances

i think you have a good chance, although it’ll be tougher as an OOS applicant… good luck!

(p.s. - i’m fairly certain the top public hs in PA is in Philly…)

I woulda said 50% chances, but since you said both “legit” and “sesh” I am gonna have to say 25% chance.

Dawg, I was just tryin’ to git yo 'tention. And arach-do you mean PUBLIC high school or PRIVATE? Because according to the past five years of PSSA results… us (and no we don’t take time out of our schedules to study it). Also highest average SAT/ACT scores for a public from Western PA (I didn’t see results from the east). In addition, our sports and arts are tops in the region/state.

nope, nope… i meant public. if you look at this [Masterman Julia R Secondary School: Best High Schools - USNews.com](http://www.usnews.com/listings/high-schools/pennsylvania/masterman_julia_r_secondary_school) you’ll see that this school was the highest ranked PA school; washington post has it at 147 (highest for a PA school); its PSSA results: [Masterman Julia R Secondary School Test Scores - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - PA](http://www.greatschools.net/modperl/achievement/pa/2063;) the average SAT score of its students is around 1300/1600 (I’ll have to find the paper that gives exact the exact #s), but I don’t know the average ACT (the two people I know who did take it both received a score of 31)… so, i’m pretty sure that this is the #1 public in PA (not to say that others aren’t good, too, of course)…

thats a magnet school… meaning it pulls the smartest 10% out of a bunch of schools. If you want to call that a public, I guess you can by definition, but by what I, and I would assume many people consider to be public (only based on where you live, no entry qualifications) schools-I would still say mine

okey doke… i understand what you mean, now (we just just had different definitions of “public”)…

anyway, good luck with your college search!
