I've been trying to sleep for four hours. Forget it, I think I'm going for an all nighter, won't be so bad since I woke up so late.

But how do you fall asleep if you have caffeine? Does water negate some of the effects?

But how do you fall asleep if you have caffeine? Does water negate some of the effects?

Why don’t you try to work out until you get tired. Or listen to some boring elevator music, I’m sure that can put anyone to sleep.

At least caffeine works for you. I drank/drink it all the time so during the school year it had no effect on me when I actually had to stay up.

Do jumping jacks. I have insomnia and can’t go to sleep unless I’m dead tired - even if that’s 4 AM. It usually works.

What was the source of the caffeine?

probably telling yourself your going to go for on all nighter is a good tactic for falling asleep sooner ;). (you tell yourself that because you’re frustrated with falling asleep, and don’t want to have think about it anymore, but this actually makes it easier fall asleep normally, not factoring in the caffeine, which I have limited experience with).

If I cannot fall asleep in 45 minutes I’m resorting to exercise.

I tried drinking two bottles of water, hopefully it’ll help flush out that caffeine or something.

Soda.

Maybe it’s the sugar, not the caffeine. Or both.

Water might help somewhat, especially if you think it might help, but I doubt its ability to combat the evils of soda.

Drinking sugar and caffine will make you a bad crash later.

Well, i had Dr pepper right before i went to sleep, and fell asleep at my normal(summer) 2AM sleep time. My mom woke me up at like 8:30am, but i guess i was too tired, so at about 9:30 i fell asleep again and woke up at around 11.

In general, i guess caffeine doesn’t affect me much. Maybe its cause i drink it alot? haha.

Exercise actually keeps me awake. I can’t work out after 7 or I won’t be able to sleep.

But anyhow, if you’re going to pull an all-nighter, stay awake (No napping!) until you want to go to sleep the next day.

For the record I actually fell asleep ten minutes after my second post. :P
