I hate to do this to you guys, but I was just curious of your opinions on my possibilities down at UF. I am an out of state applicant (Iowa) and applied for regular decision.

I have a 3.65 unweighted GPA (we have barely any AP courses at my school, and this was my first year taking an AP (Biology))

I have a 32 ACT, 11 essay.

I have taken a few dual enrollment classes (Stats, Business) but these are not weighted at my school, and we do not use a weighted system.

My essay/recommendations are good. (I don't want to get overconfident with them)

I have lettered in Golf and play tennis. Spanish club member, reading mentor with young kids, etc. Work 20+ hours a week.

you're fine. although the fact that your prob 100% american bred white guy, the fact that you're from iowa helps a lil (compared to someone from another state).

i would've said apply ED but i guess thats too late. you got a nice ACT and your gpa is fine. good luck, ive been in the waiting for ED for a bit now. 2 months to go

Haha, you're exactly right. I am that American white guy, but maybe because I'm from Iowa I'll be an URM? Just kidding. Now I kind of wish that I would have done the ED, but I guess I wanted to leave my options open. These next FOUR months for me are going to be a biatch! I wish that there was some other way to figure out sooner! Early February just seems way too far away.

You have an excellent chance of admission. UF uses weighted GPA's (their own weighting of 1/2 point extra for honors classes and 1 point extra for AP). Your weighted GPA is probably close to a 3.9/4.0. You may even qualify for the honors program. BTW, the regular decision 1 letters are usually posted online on the last Friday in January (after 5 PM).
