Haha...Georgetown v. Ohio State

One may wonder "why did Georgetown lose to Ohio State on saturday? Lets see, Ohio State accepts well over 70% of its applicants, Georgetown 20. This year, about 16,300 applicants applied to G-town, yet only about 1,300 were accepted. If one were to look at Ohio State, they would find that well over the majority who applied where accepted.

Wow Georgetown, you've tried so hard but came only so far. Pay back must suck.

nice try. georgetown accepts well above that number because they anticipate that not all of those accepted will enroll. number admitted does not equal number enrolled

this year they only accepted 20% of the applicants. my friend got a letter from them.

somehow, i don't think 1,300/16,300 = 20%

And somehow, I don't think 1,300 represents the number who enrolled either. Ususually, 1,800 Freshmen enroll at Georgetown each year. YahYah, I think your friend meant to say that 3,300 were admitted and 1,800 of those will enroll.
