yield protection

You may be right carwatha, I mentioned in a previous post that UC Davis hosed up my application pretty bad (They had me as not having completed General Chem, Bio, and a few other courses).

To be honest with you, I think it may have been a blessing in disguise if this is the kind of "professionalism" I can expect from Riverside or Davis. I sent the same application to all the UC's, and the only ones that seemed to comprehend my app correctly were San Diego, Santa Cruz, and Santa Barbara.

If I were really missing as many courses as they said I was, San Diego would have never admitted me, and Santa Barbara sure as heck would have never thrown me into their Honor's Program.

so what... i was rejected by cal poly pomona

@hotelmoscow. The UCs can only gauge how strong of a student(for your major) you are by seeing your grades for the prereqs.

man... this year college adminstration is so challenging..

UCR rejects people..?

You sound really surprised. It's not a community college. I would like to see someone with a 1.5 GPA getting in to UCR.

Maybe you missed the 1st post...

3.8 GPA
IGETC done
Deans list
1st generation
Missing O-chem (not offered) and second calc course.
All other pre-req's done.

I got in at far better schools...

Yea your stats are stellar I think the admissions officers were smoking the funny stuff.

Applying to college is like dating. I think that UCR is just very emotional about the entire situation. anchor was just to attractive for them and they realized it would be a interfacial relationship of academia. They couldn't take the thought of your rejection of them so they rejected you instead. Its sad really...

i got denied by uci and accepted by berkeley...those admissions folks are a
mystery...

“Rejected:
LA
Riverside <---- hahahahhaha”

Maybe riverside rejected you because of your attitude towards riverside. I wouldn’t be surprised.

LOL. I didn’t even apply to riverside and they accepted me.

^lol
10char

HAHA yea I’v heard of those letters where UCR goes “I know you didn’t apply to us, but we’ve still accepted you for blabla major”.

almost 80% of the students are admitted… lol. It’s a decent school now but I think they are accepting that many people (even those who didn’t even apply) because UCR is projecting to bring more students to their school. UCR used to have about 15,000 students but now they have 19,000 students. They are projecting to have about 22,000 by 2015. But ppl won’t go to UCR because of its location. I think that’s why their acceptance rate is so high.

appeal for the lulz

Bro… there is a reason why you got rejected. They didnt look at your stats, gpa, ecs, essays, or anything. They just needed somebody to be that 0.1% rejected.
