I just received an email for an invitation for a HAIL interview with an alumni. Does everyone get this embalmed or does it mean Michigan is interested in my application?
I received it as well for engineering. I haven’t received an admissions decision yet. Is this a good sign?
I got offered one in November after applying early action and I did it. I ended up getting deferred and I still haven’t heard anything. Personally, I think they choose random people for it. Not everyone gets offered one.
highly doubt it means anything; college interviews (and their offerings) mean nothing for other schools
I’m pretty sure that this year all CoE applicants should be offered a HAIL interview. You should do it if you’re really interested in attending, and not sure you’ll get in.
Accepted EA CoE, did not do interview.
My UMich legacy friend did the HAIL interview and got in but said the interview was pretty casual.
Two other close friends did the HAIL interview and were deferred.
Honestly I don’t think it affects your decision, but I read threads from last year with kids who were deferred yet received scholarships from HAIL that could be used if they were accepted after being deferred.
In the participation form, street address and phone number are right under high school, so do I write the school’s or my home?
