Few questions concerning the H2P Application

There's no area for teacher/guidance recommendations, how do i go about that? Should I have them e-mailed to the school??

I submitted my SATs already but my ACT score report is available within the next few days. I'm still able to send that in, correct?

How do I know when my guidance counselor submitted my transcript?

How do I check the status of my application?

They're basing my admittance ONLY on my transcript, SAT, and Application?? What about my ECs, Recommendations, resume, etc. I'm so confused because I feel like they're going to get back to me and let me know if I got in or not before I even send in that information. I'm so confused, please help.

All supplemental materials can be emailed to oafa@pitt.edu. I think they prefer pdf files of recommendations and your resume. Just make sure every page has your name and address so they can be paired to your application. You should make sure that your supplemental information gets to them before the required parts of the application are complete because once they have any scores, transcript, and submitted application they will send the package to the admissions committee. They won’t know to wait for letters or your resume or additional scores.

Once you submit the application itself, you will get login information to track the status of your application. You can still send ACT scores but again, make sure they have those before the required parts (with your SAT) are complete and sent on to the committee.

You can indicate that you are waiting on more scores on your application and we will hold the app until we receive them. Put the date of each test you have taken/will take and whether you are having the scores sent directly to campus!

We accept answers to the following supplemental questions for any application. You can send these answers in a PDF with your name, address, and DOB on the document to: oafa@pitt.edu

In lieu of an essay or personal statement, we ask interested applicants to answer a series of short answer questions. Answering the following questions is optional, but strongly encouraged. Your answers may increase the likelihood that you are considered for scholarships, guaranteed admission to graduate or professional school, or special consideration due to extenuating circumstances. If you decide to submit short answers, please answer all the questions:

-Describe yourself in 140 characters or less.
-In 140 characters or less, describe why Pitt is a good choice for you.
-Describe a situation where things were working against you. What did you handle well and what would you change if
you had to do it over?

Wait, so collegeboard sent my SAT scores on Oct 23, the last piece of a complete application. But then they sent my second (much better ) scores on the 26th. Does this mean Pitt admissions will never see my second scores because they had a complete application before then? I don’t remember if I indicated in the application to be expecting more scores to come.

@Thurber, if you did indicate further test dates, you should be fine. But sometimes we won’t wait for scores we don’t know are coming. Since your scores were only 3 days apart, you should be fine. If you have any concerns about whether we received something, you can call 412-624-7488 and a processor can check on your individual application.
