Hair advice

I'm a guy that's going to be starting my freshman year at a small-ish private in a couple weeks. I've always had a fairly lame haircut (sort of bowl-cut although not entirely) and I sort of want to change it before I go. Currently I have about eyebrow-length hair which is very straight, although that's a little longer than I usually keep it. I have some bumps on the top of my head so I'd rather not go above the top of my forehead. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just something passable that I can maintain in <5 minutes daily. Any suggestions?

Get a skullet (google it)

Or just get a short haircut. I usually get a #4 on my sides and then have the top scissor-trimmed to a short but proportional length. Looks fine to me, very very very easy to maintain. Requires a dollop of shampoo, and if you like to style your hair with product then it’s quite manageable as well.

I’d suggest going to a salon with male and female clients. Ask some female friends for suggestions. Be specific about what you want around the forehead. Other than that, the stylist will know what to do.
