There are a couple salons in Collegetown (some offer specials where you get a cut for $10...but I don't think a wash is included)...never tried them out but they did a good job on my friend's hair. My favorite salon is Satori (over in Cayuga Heights). It was $30 for wash, cut and dry...which these days is a good deal.

im interested in cutting my hairs in choppy layers. do you know if any of the salons are good? i heard some hairdressers don't even know what choppy layers mean...

If that's the case...I highly recommend Satori...they're very happy to schedule a consultation before the cut...which is what I did before I got highlights because of my natural haircolor.

innovations at north cayuga and east buffalo. it is an aveda salon and i highly recommend it.

Yeah...forgot about them. Satori is also in the process of becoming an Aveda salon.

Anyway...Innovations is also good...but my friend stopped going there after they butchered her highlights and color...
