Is an applicant who is Hispanic and white still given URM status? Will this applicant be put on an even playing field with a full Hispanic applicant?
Hispanic can be ANY race, including 100% white.
So when a school reports their demographics, the “Hispanic” percentage includes those who mark races such as white, asian etc.? @PrimeMeridian
Hispanic/Latino is considered an ethnicity, because there are black, asian, white, etc Latinos. That’s why it’s a separate question.
I believe the policy is if you are at least 1/4 of whatever race or ethnicity, you can put it down.
There isn’t a “1/4” policy.
I think @orangefloat is thinking about the nhrp policy.
